BATON ROUGE, La. — With its $5 million seed round now closed, BoomNation announced the expansion of its Product Development Team. BoomNation – the new mobile app community connecting tradespeople with employers who are looking for a better way to hire qualified skilled workers, share content and enhance project communications – welcomes two of the founders of Waitr, the popular meal delivery app. Addison Killebrew and Manuel Rivero Ramirez are reuniting with fellow Waitr founder and current BoomNation Chairman and Co-CEO Chris Meaux.
“Addison and Manuel were instrumental in helping me turn Waitr into the amazing app that it is, and I know their experience and knowledge will be just what we need to take BoomNation to the next level,” said Meaux.
Killebrew is coming onboard as chief operating officer, while Rivero Ramirez will oversee Architecture and Engineering as chief technology officer. This experienced team is looking to combine their skills, once again, and repeat the scale and growth they have proven in the past.
“BoomNation fills a void for the skilled workforce that no one has been able to address before,” said Killebrew. “It’s exciting to be part of this new app community and have the opportunity to expand its functionality for the millions of tradespeople across the country.”
As part of that expansion, Killebrew says the company is adding an experienced team of software developers to elevate how the technology is mobilized within these industries.
“Being a part of building something that helps so many people is what I strive to do," said Rivero Ramirez "That’s why BoomNation is so perfect. It bridges the gap between skilled workers and employers and opens the lines of communication, and that’s something we can really build upon.”
Since its launch in November 2021, BoomNation has built a community of thousands of workers and employers using the app to share content, network and connect with jobs nationwide.
