Jay Butch, a fixture of contractor relations at CertainTeed for nearly a quarter century, is ready to retire. 

Butch, currently the director of contractor services for CertainTeed, told RC Publisher Jill Bloom and Editorial Director Rick Damato that he will officially step away from the company on Nov. 30, in this exclusive video.  

“I answered an ad in the newspaper, believe it or not,” Butch said about his start with CertainTeed as a contractor programs manager in 1998. “And here we are, 24 years later!”

After 19 years with Prudential Insurance, largely in facilities management, he took the plunge into roofing and has helped countless contractors maximize their business opportunities ever since.
