ATLANTA and MACON, Ga. — Honest Abe Roofing, one of the largest roofing franchises in the United States, has announced signed franchise agreements to bring new locations to Atlanta and Macon, Ga.
Behind the agreement is Todd King, owner of six Honest Abe Roofing franchises in Georgia and Florida. King, who is set to open his seventh and eight locations in Atlanta and Macon this year, is no stranger to entrepreneurship, having owned and operated seven various businesses including two home renovation companies over the past 32 years. During his time completing home renovations, he saw the opportunity to provide roofing services. With a desire to expand his portfolio, he selected Honest Abe Roofing as the franchise business to join for finding long-term success in the roofing industry and home services sector.
“There is such a high demand for roofing services today, as people are investing more in their homes now due to a variety of economic factors,” said King. “With our new locations in Atlanta and Macon, we expect to build new customer relationships showcasing our strong reputation in Georgia and how we differentiate in a fragmented industry by providing exceptional customer care and unmatched roofing services.”
Honest Abe Roofing provides professional installations, repairs and preventative maintenance services for residential and commercial roofs at competitive pricing. Among its business practices are:
- All contractors utilized by franchisees are fully-certified and part of a team of home improvement experts.
- Its wide variety of quality roofing products are made from premium materials, are fully weather-resistant and many have a lifetime reliability guarantee. From traditional asphalt roofs to metal roofs, Honest Abe Roofing offers roofing products manufactured to resemble wood shake, slate, shingles, or clay tiles.
- Honest Abe Roofing provides in-house financing, including same-as-cash, 0% financing, long-term/low-payment, and options for clients with sub-prime credit.
- Honest Abe Roofing operates in a 2,200-square-foot (minimum) retail space that serves primarily as a place to meet customers, for customers to review roofing materials in the showroom, and as a storage area.
“With a retooling of how the roofing business ‘usually’ operates, Honest Abe Roofing has succeeded because of our customer-centric service and relationship model,” said James Lloyd, vice president of franchise development for Honest Abe Roofing. “Our franchise owners, like Todd King, are bringing exceptional customer care to the communities they serve, which is driving demand for his roofing solution services and fueling his growth throughout Georgia.”
Several factors are driving skyrocketing demand for roofing, such as being 12 years after the housing boom where millions of roofs across the U.S. are in need of repair or replacement. In addition, a current cooling of the housing market is driving homeowners to replace roofs instead of buying new homes.
According to the company’s 2021 Franchise Disclosure Document, the average annual sales of a single Honest Abe location’s annual sales were $2.3 million. Honest Abe Roofing plans to grow from 23 units across eight states to reach 75 units in markets across the Northeast, Southeast and Midwest in the next three to five years.
