BluSky Restoration Contractors LLC announced the promotion of Chuck Lane to vice president of learning and development. In his expanded role, Lane will be responsible for the strategic direction and development of BluSky’s learning programs for its national workforce.
As vice president of learning and development, his primary objective is to create an organizational culture of learning and employee development by implementing industry-leading training programs and ensuring employees have the resources they need to take charge of their career growth. In a statement, BluSky said it is prioritizing employee training and building developmental paths so the "next generation of workforce can step into new opportunities, including leadership positions, when they arise."
Lane spent over a decade in healthcare and emergency management before joining the restoration industry in 2019 as part of the SRP team as the director of training and education. He then began managing all organizational learning initiatives after the merger of SRP with BluSky in 2020. Lane has driven multiple initiatives over the past three years at BluSky, like developing and implementing the organizational-wide learning and development program — including a multi-role new hire onboarding and mentoring initiative — and a new learning management system to further enhance career growth for all employees.
“BluSky has given me an incredible opportunity to grow and develop my career. My mission now is to return that opportunity to our employees and help them achieve their own career goals,” said Lane in a statement. “It’s so important to invest time, training and energy into our employees, so they are successful and thriving at work, as well as outside of work.”
