FlashCo recently announced it had appointed Matt Froehlich to vice president of Supply Chain, a promotion from his former role as director of Supply Chain. Froehlich has been with FlashCo for more than seven years, beginning his career as plant manager for its Mt. Prospect, Ill. facility in 2016.
In its news release, FlashCo said Froehlich had previously been responsible for product procurement, logistics and inventory for the company. The company added that Froehlich successfully reduced logistics costs by nearly 25% of sales by implementing right-sized inventory at its nine plant locations and developing and implementing IT infrastructure improvements at each location.
“Matt has done a masterful job making supply chain a competitive advantage for FlashCo,” Greg Morrow, FlashCo president, said in the release. “In his time at FlashCo, Matt has helped sales triple. His supply chain improvements have played a significant role in our growth, especially during the pandemic. Matt has been the driving force in structuring the supply chain department and catering it to the needs of our customers and business.”
During Froehlich’s time with FlashCo, the company said he has transformed the supply chain department through LCC sourcing and implementing automated scheduling and EDI systems. Froehlich’s department is a critical part of helping FlashCo to meet its goal of shipping 90% of orders within three days.
Prior to joining FlashCo, Froehlich held supply chain management positions with Idex Corporation, Ace Controls, Parker Hannifin Corporation and Johnson Controls, Inc. He earned a bachelor of arts degree from Michigan State University and a master’s in science management degree from Walsh College in Troy, MI.
“Matt exemplifies the core values FlashCo believes in as an organization,” Morrow added. “His department embodies our ‘can-do attitude’ core value and we are thankful the company, and our customers, get to experience it every day.”
