The Midwest Roofing Contractors Association is offering more chances for students of its membership to receive help in pursuing a higher education.
The MRCA announced it is extending the deadline to submit an application for its 2023 Foundation Scholarship Program to June 5. According to the MRCA’s website, applications must be an undergraduate or graduate enrolled in a trade school, college, or university, or a high school senior provisionally accepted into an education institution. Students must also have a 3.0 GPA or B average equivalent.
When submitting, applicants are required to show proof of being associated with an active MRCA member. As part of the application, they must also include a written statement from the educational institution where the construction-related work will be undertaken, indicating provisional acceptance of the student at the institution. The applicant must also provide a one-page essay explaining why they’re pursuing a construction-related degree.
Last year, the MRCA awarded a total of 15 scholarships. The association states the number and dollar amount of scholarships awarded will be determined by the MRCA Foundation Board of Directors.
