The Garland Company, the Cleveland-based roofing materials manufacturer, has rolled out a solvent-free polyurethane foam-able adhesive for use with its KEE-Stone thermoplastic roofing membranes.
In a release, Garland said KEE-Lock Spatter Spray is applied using a proprietary dual-purpose static mixer, disposable adhesive applicator, and 25-foot hoses, covering up to 2,400 square feet and skins in as little as five to eight minutes, depending on application conditions.
“Traditional KEE adhesives are applied using a manual ribbon technique that can be time-consuming,” said Ed Buczek, director of product management for The Garland Company. “In contrast, KEE-Lock Spatter Spray applies quickly and easily as an even layer across the substrate, which means the KEE membrane adheres to more of the capsheet and creates a smooth finished surface that cures in as little as five minutes.”
Garland touts KEE-Lock Spatter Spray as “applicator-friendly, dispensing quickly and evenly, saving installation time while bonding strong and consistent.” The product forms a quick, tight bond that gives contractors immediate verification of a successful installation. The product is low-VOC and contains no “high global warming” propellants, making it safe even in regulated areas.
“We know that roofing contractors face business challenges that are unprecedented,” Buczek said. “KEE-Lock Spatter Spray is unique in that while one type of application is in the name, it also has FM approvals for use as an insulation adhesive in traditional ribbons.”
KEE-Lock Spatter Spray is now available from any of Garland’s over 200 territory managers across the U.S. and Canada. To learn more about KEE-Lock Spatter Spray, visit garlandco.com.
