Altenloh, Brinck & Co., the Ohio-based global manufacturer and distributor of engineered fasteners for the residential and commercial building materials market, recently announced the addition of two executives to its leadership team overseeing its SPAX-brand product line.
According to a company news release, the two appointees include Derek Fielding, named as the new vice president of strategic marketing, and Eric Ashack, who had been promoted from within SPAX’s ranks to vice president of sales.
“We are excited to welcome [both] Fielding … and to announce the promotion of Ashack,” said Jason Beals, chief sales officer of Altenloh, Brinck & Co. “Both are seasoned professionals, having proven experiences to deliver business performance and growth in complex, competitive industries.”
In his new role, Fielding will be responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive omnichannel marketing strategies, including building a robust digital marketing and technology strategy that supports [the] brands, ensuring the company continues on its aggressive growth path, the concern said in its release.
Fielding will also provide leadership to develop and lead the marketing team across all three of the company’s brands, SPAX, TRUFAST and TRUFAST Walls, fueling the strategic acceleration of each brand.
Fielding joins Altenloh from a 15-year career at Fortune Brands Innovations, where his roles included time in strategic marketing, product development, and consumer and market insights. In addition to his experience with Fortune Brands, Fielding’s background includes experiences with Newell Brands and Libbey.
“The vice president of sales at SPAX is a newly reimagined role that will give us the ability to further strengthen our existing positions inside leading home centers,” Beals said. “[We also plan to] grow in markets that we don’t serve well today by ensuring we provide the right products, services, and programs our customers are looking for,”
Ashack started as the product management leader with SPAX in August 2020 and has more than 15 years of experience across a diverse set of industries and more than five years of experience within the lumber and building materials industries. Before joining SPAX, he spent three years with National Nail Corp. in business and product development roles.
