Polyglass U.S.A., Inc., a manufacturer of roofing and waterproofing systems, recently cooked up some support for its local communities. On April 1, Polyglass participated in and sponsored the 6th Annual EGGFest in Winter Haven, Fla. Teams gather from all over the country to raise money and show off their talents on the Big Green Egg, the popular ceramic kamado BBQ.
The event supports the local Girls Incorporated of Winter Haven and the Boys & Girls Club of Polk County. According to Polyglass, this year's EGGFest brought around 1,000 people to the event and had its best year ever in terms of donations tied to sponsorships. Polyglass represented over 20 attendees, with their families included. Polyglass sponsored EGGFest for the last two years.
The sponsorship is among the latest endeavors Polyglass has undertaken in its 30-year history of operating in the United States. It most recently partnered for the seventh year in a row with the Dolphin’s Challenge Cancer annual cycling and 5K run/walk event at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Fla., to raise funds for cancer research. It previously worked with roofing companies to donate roofing materials to worthy causes, including a Ronald McDonald House in Texas and a pet shelter in South Florida.
