The Midwest Roofing Contractors Association invites roofing professionals from around the country to join them in Omaha, Neb., for its 2023 Conference & Expo.
The conference, held Oct. 18-20 at the CHI Health Center, invites commercial and residential roofing contractors, builders, re-modelers, general contractors, architects and roofing consultants to better themselves and network during the conference. Attendees can explore an expo floor featuring manufacturers and suppliers of all sizes displaying products, services and more.
Cutting-edge educational sessions held during this year’s conference range from safety and technical presentations to business management, whether it’s about eliminating language barriers, insurance, or mental health awareness.
This year’s keynote speaker is Rulon Gardner, an Olympian athlete who, during the 2000 Summer Olympic Games, pulled off the “Miracle on the Mat” to defeat three-time Olympic champion, Alexander Karelin, and capture the Greco-Roman wrestling gold medal. In addition to his Olympic win, Gardner received the AAU James E. Sullivan Athlete of the Year Award in 2000, the Jesse Owens Award for Sportsmanship in 2000, and the ESPY Award for U.S. Male Olympic Athlete of the Year in 2001.He will speak about turning negative moments into character-building experiences and never giving up when times are tough.
Other special events slated for this year’s conference include a reception and MRCA Foundation auction as well as a first-timer reception and Young Contractors Council fundraiser welcome party.
