Richards Building Supply Co. has announced the acquisition of Midwest Siding Supply [MSS], a distributor of roofing, siding, windows, doors, and other complementary products.
According to a statement, the acquisition will help Richards Building Supply better serve its Chicagoland contractor customer base.
“We are thrilled to welcome this family-owned independent distributor with decades of customer service excellence and loyal customer base dating back to 1979,” said Ronald M. Guzior, CEO and president. “These newest members of the Richards Building Supply family, with their like-minded values and strong reputation to serve, will build on our foundation of success.”
Richards Building Supply is a member of the Independent Distributor Alliance Corporation. The company stated this acquisition supports its mission to be "the leading roofing and building materials distribution network in the U.S. and Canada."
“Midwest Siding Supply provided employees an opportunity to grow our local contractors and builders," said MSS General Manager Michael Peters. "Richards’ expansive volume and wider net of vendor partners will now offer even more opportunities to grow our customers and improve the lives of the employees, too.”
This is the latest acquisition Richards Building Supply has made, having previously announced an agreement to purchase Dayton, Ohio-based SIBCO Building Products in Dec. 2021.
