National Women in Roofing [NWiR] is putting out a call for presenters to speak on topics relevant to the needs of women and their allies during the organization’s annual NWiR Day.

Now in its seventh year, NWiR Day is a one-day conference for women professionals in the roofing industry to learn about the latest business strategies, to network, and enjoy a day of insight, inspiration and fun. Held Feb. 4 in Las Vegas — the day before the 2024 International Roofing Expo begins — the event features presenters and breakout sessions on everything from business development to Spanish speaking tracks and hands-on product demonstrations.

This year’s theme is “Hitting It Out of the Park: How Women Rise With Allies and Advocates.” Any experts or professionals who can speak about this are encouraged to submit their ideas for sessions by Aug. 31.

“To create an energetic and intuitive agenda that is responsive to the needs of women in the roofing industry, we are looking for your suggestions and contributions on best practices and important issues to empower women and their allies in the roofing industry,” the NWiR said in an email.

The sessions can range from a panel discussion to a workshop experience, presentations, or simply facilitating conversations. When shaping their submissions, NWiR suggests presenters draw on the knowledge they wish they had known at the beginning or mid-point of their careers, or which topics are relevant to them and their companies this year that can be shared with others.
