Keynote Comedy
Funnyman Dan Naturman, who appeared on Comedy Central, America’s Got Talent and several late-night network talk shows during his career, will bring his brand of self-depreciating, grouchy stand-up routine for the annual luncheon Monday, Sept. 25. This is a ticketed event for show attendees.
Keep Learning
The WSRCA will continue to emphasize the importance of roofer education and training during the WRE 2023. More than two dozen educational sessions led by industry experts and seasoned presenters are on the agenda, along with show-floor training and product demonstrations. Learn how to modernize your business, address labor shortages, and implement technology to maximize profits before the end of the year.
Enjoy the Wild West
The theme for this year’s annual auction and welcome event is the ‘Wild West.’ While they mosey back in time, auction attendees will get to bid on modern vacations and trips, jewelry, golfing gear, roofing materials, sports memorabilia and more. All to benefit the Davis Memorial Foundation and its scholarship fund, which has issued more than $700,000 total in annual academic scholarships to 160 students since 1997. Prizes will be awarded for best Wild West costume!
Navigating Roofing Careers with NWiR
For the first time, National Women in Roofing will host an event at the WRE! From 7-8:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 25, members will explore how to navigating their own career strategies. Skill Showcase
The Roofing Games return to the WRE 2023 show floor, offering roofing contractors from across the West the opportunity to show how skillful they are with shingles. Sponsored by Malarkey Roofing Products, the competition at the end of day two of the show will test a contractor’s skill level as it pertains to equipment, roofing materials and high-quality workmanship. Roofers will compete against each other to install shingles on a small deck. They’ll be judged on accuracy, speed, workmanship and look of the overall job. Stop by the Malarkey booth for a chance to enter.
