ABC Supply Co., Inc., North America’s largest wholesale distributor of roofing and other building envelope products, has named eight new vice presidents to its executive team, reflecting the breadth of the organization’s sustained expansion.
In an August 29 news release, ABC Supply said the increased size and scope of leadership at the organization reflects the recent and ongoing expansion of the company itself. The promotions, which were effective July 1, include the following leaders:
Julie Bies to vice president of internal audit.
Bies joined ABC Supply nearly 22 years ago as an internal auditor, a role she held for three years until becoming a regional controller. After working in that role for 15 years, she was promoted to internal audit director. She specializes in developing new methods and approaches to improve internal controls and efficiency.
Mike Boggs to vice president of branch operations.
Boggs has been with ABC Supply for 34 years. During his tenure, he has undertaken various roles in the field and at the company’s National Support Center, most recently serving as director of operations for the past 12 years. In his role, Boggs leads key strategic enhancements to support and scale associate growth and oversees strategic operational upgrades, including safety, compliance and fleet.
Andrew Callaway to vice president of merchandising.
Callaway joined ABC Supply in 2016 when the company acquired L&W Supply and was promoted to executive director of enterprise merchandising last year. As part of his role, he will have responsibility for Mule-Hide Products and Norandex — strategic business units of ABC Supply — while continuing to manage vendor relations, pricing, inbound transportation and master data.
Kerry Cloyd to vice president of Customer Financial Services (CFS).
Cloyd has been with ABC Supply for nearly 21 years. She has worked in various finance roles throughout her tenure, transitioning to lead the Customer Financial Services department last year. Her role entails leading an enterprise-wide team to evolve systems and processes and ensure that ABC Supply customers have convenient access to lines of credit.
Michael Kaechele to vice president of IT strategy and planning.
Kaechele, a five-year ABC Supply associate, was promoted to IT strategy and planning executive director in 2022. As a vice president, he will continue to spearhead technology-focused projects and services that align with the company’s strategic objectives and growth trajectory.
Larry Sullivan to vice president of enterprise analytics.
Sullivan has been with ABC Supply for six years, becoming the executive director of enterprise analytics in 2022. In his role, he will continue to lead a dedicated team focused on analyzing and leveraging data to identify opportunities for innovation.
Rich Thompson to vice president of marketing.
Thompson joined ABC Supply in 2007 and has been the company’s marketing and national business development director for more than six years. He has been instrumental in many key areas of the company and the growth of the company’s national accounts business.
Scott Towne to vice president of risk management.
Towne, a 30-year insurance and risk management professional, joined ABC Supply in 2021. His work ensures the protection of the company’s associates and assets through various programs and policies.
In 2012, ABC Supply had 450 branches across the country, the company noted. Today, the firm is double that size, surpassing 900 locations in 2022. With key acquisition and expansion strategies in place, the new leadership structure will be key to meeting growth objectives.
“On behalf of the entire ABC Supply family, I congratulate these new executives on their well-deserved promotions,” said Keith Rozolis, ABC Supply’s president and CEO. “Our path to growth has been paved largely by their strong leadership, so it’s only fitting we expand their roles as we look to the future.”
Since its founding in 1982, ABC Supply says its sole focus has been “…serving professional contractors and ‘making it easy’ for them to do their jobs by offering the products, support and services they need — including myABCsupply, which allows them to place material orders and manage their account details from anywhere.”
ABC Supply is a 17-time Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award winner and a two-time recipient of Glassdoor’s Employees’ Choice Award for Best Places to Work and is committed to hiring military veterans.
Headquartered in Beloit, Wisc., ABC Supply has more than 900 locations across the U.S. and Canada.
