Johns Manville, a Berkshire Hathaway company and building products manufacturer, announced on Tuesday the launch of its White EPDM Peel & Stick Flashing, an uncured flashing material the company says eliminates the need for welding and is compatible with TPO roofing systems.
“At JM, we are always looking for solutions to help make our contractors more efficient and productive,” said Matt Sayer, Single Ply portfolio manager. “By eliminating the need for welding flashings on the roof, contractors can save substantial time and still deliver the high-quality performance that building owners expect from JM roofing systems.”
In a Jan. 30 news release, JM said its Peel & Stick White EPDM Flashing is ideal for “repairs and flexible enough to work in traditionally difficult-to-flash areas, allowing to form flashings around corners, scuppers and pipe wraps.
The White EPDM flashing comes in a 60-mil thickness and features a release liner and a factory-laminated, self-adhering White EPDM tape. It is available in roll sizes of 6” x 100’, 9” x 50’ and 12” x 50.’ Inside and outside corners are available in 7” x 9.”
Compatible with TPO roofing systems, the Peel & Stick White EPDM Flashing is approved for use in select details for the JM Peak Advantage Guarantee System for up to 20 years.
