After the 2021 International Roofing Expo held in Las Vegas saw low attendance due to recent COVID-19 guidelines, it's safe to say roofing is very much alive and well upon its return to the entertainment capital of the world.
Not only did the 2024 expo, held at the Las Vegas Convention Center Feb. 6-8, experience what could be record-breaking numbers, attendees were also relieved by the ease of registration after last year's long lines. Official attendance numbers aren't available as of publication, but it will no doubt go down as one of the smoothest shows.
Nearly 600 exhibitors and 45-plus educational sessions every topic imaginable were well attended by roofing professionals looking to better their business. Set against the backdrop of Super Bowl LVIII, hosted in Las Vegas Feb. 11, there were plenty of opportunities for fun during the show as well, from football tosses to NFL-themed hard hat giveaways.
In addition, more support and programming for women in roofing as well as the Latino and Hispanic communities made it one of the most diverse and inclusive shows to date. Combined with a focus on the future with presentations on artificial intelligence and technology, the roofing industry is poised to grow bigger and better than ever.
