Gary Harvey, CEO and president of Marin County, Calif.-based Wedge Roofing, was recently elected an executive board member of the Spray Polyurethane Foam Alliance, or SPFA, a trade group representing the spray foam roofing industry.

In a July 19 news release, Wedge Roofing said Harvey’s appointment reflects “his expertise and leadership in the roofing industry and his commitment to advancing best practices and innovation within the spray foam roofing sector.”

According to the company, Wedge’s spray foam roofing projects have been honored with SPFA’s National Industry Excellence Awards for an uninterrupted 10-year span. It was the first U.S. contractor to fulfill SPFA's exacting testing criteria, securing accreditation as Advanced Level Spray Foam Roofing Project Managers and Installers. Wedge Roofing was also named ‘Residential Roofing Contractor of the Year’ at Roofing Contractor magazine's 2022 Best of Success Conference.

In addition to his SPFA Executive Leadership role, Harvey teaches classes to prepare contractors for SPFA accreditation testing. He will serve two years as Secretary/Treasurer on the SPFA Executive Committee.

Other new members include Ken Wells, president of SPFA and owner of Elite PolyPro LLC in Virginia; Corey Poepping, vice president of SPFA and president of Tri-County Foam Insulation in Minnesota; and Bonnie Strickler, immediate SPFA past president and president of PUFF, Inc. in Virginia.
