GAF unveiled its agenda for the South Latinos in Roofing Summit & Expo at the WinStar World Casino in Thackerville, Okla., on Sept. 19.

The experience begins with a pre-event reception on Sept. 18 at the casino, where attendees will meet, eat and network. The education sessions begin at 9 a.m. the next day and run through 5 p.m., covering several aspects of roofing from industry experts.

Specific breakout sessions include an interactive workshop on how to manage company finances and better understand net cash flow per job, how to work with insurance carriers, in-home selling, and cultivating relationships with manufacturers to maximize contractor benefits.

Attendees also will:

  • Gain valuable insights from industry experts —  delving into topics like in-home selling, storm restoration, cash flow strategy and commercial roofing.
  • Hear how GAF Latinos in Roofing partnerships can provide business solutions to help your company succeed.
  • Interact with other contractors and ask the questions most important to you during our contractor panel.
  • Connect with elite contractors during our pre-reception the night before the event, fostering valuable professional relationships.
  • Submit your company for the GAF Latinos In Roofing Awards. Categories include Installation of the Year for Residential & Commercial installations and Latinos In Roofing in the Community.

GAF hosted a similar summit in Los Angeles in June that drew hundreds of roofing contractors across the West. The summits are part of a broader initiative launched last year to help elevate Latino contractors through education, networking, and sharing resources that can help entrepreneurs in the Latino community overcome some of the unique challenges in their respective markets.
