Elevate Commercial Roofing Systems, part of the global Holcim Building Envelope family, named Kim Eckerman vice president of Marketing and Communications, Americas; the company said she will be pivotal in strengthening the Elevate brand for the broader Roofing Systems & Lining business unit.
Elevate noted in a September 25 news release that Eckerman brings more than 17 years of experience in marketing, communications, and leadership in the building products and roofing industry. In her role, she will lead marketing initiatives across multiple brands, including Elevate, GenFlex, and Gentite.
Before joining Elevate, Eckerman was the director of marketing and communications at TAMKO Building Products, where she led teams that helped develop highly successful new product lines and delivered innovative and award-winning marketing campaigns.

Before entering the building products and roofing industry, Eckerman worked in journalism as a broadcast news anchor and reporter. She also taught collegiate communications courses at Missouri Southern State University.
Eckerman earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from MSSU and a master’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in applied communications from Missouri State University in Springfield.
She is certified in Artificial Intelligence Marketing through the University of Virginia Darden School Foundation. Eckerman is actively involved with National Women in Roofing and was recently honored with its Diamond MVP Award for 2024.
