US LBM acquires Homestead Building Systems, a leading structural building component manufacturer in Virginia, expanding its footprint in the Mid-Atlantic region.

US LBM announced a definitive agreement for Platinum Equity to acquire a stake in the company from its current private equity partner, Bain Capital Private Equity, with both parties having equal ownership stakes and joint board governance. 

First announced in January, the acquisitions means ABC Supply will acquire 42 locations in 12 states that primarily sell and distribute interior building materials.

The new location will operate under US LBM's Universal Supply division.
