The Roofing Alliance has granted Clemson University over $1 million to establish a Center for Roofing Research and Workforce Development, focusing on sustainable growth, innovative research, and workforce training to address the industry’s challenges. 

Roofing Alliance leadership is helping address workforce shortages by funding a first-of-its-kind Roofing Industry Center and supporting the SkillsUSA program.

The Roofing Alliance will host its 10th-anniversary Construction Management Student Competition in Las Vegas on February 7, 2024, where college teams will compete in roofing project proposals for educational and networking opportunities, with prizes for top performers.  

The Roofing Alliance, the philanthropic and educational arm of the National Roofing Contractors Association, has approved funding for a three-year research project with Clemson University to focus on "Sustainability & Resiliency Efforts for the Roofing Industry."

Clemson University won the top prize at the ninth annual Roofing Alliance Student Competition, held during the 2023 International Roofing Expo in Dallas.

The Garland Sponsorship was created in 2020 to honor the company’s 125th Anniversary and increases annually to coincide with the numbers of years Garland has been in business.

Out of four finalists, one team came out on top for its presentation of a qualified bid package for a new roof system on the Las Vegas Raiders practice facility.

Those who register for the International Roofing Expo's Virtual Event will gain access to a wealth of knowledge from its on-demand sessions and seminars.

Funding requests must go toward research, educational initiatives and technical programs that address current issues and work to better the roofing industry.
