Firestone Building Products becomes Holcim’s building envelope division, a key growth engine for innovation and advanced building solutions.

Malarkey's outgoing president is a veteran of the roofing business, earning accolades both for company innovations as well as industry leadership. 

The acquisition is part of Holcim's Strategy 2025 – Accelerating Green Growth plan, which aims to expand its Solutions & Products business by becoming a global leader in roofing systems.

With this acquisition LafargeHolcim will add 15 manufacturing facilities, 1,800 distribution points, and three R&D laboratories to its network.

LafargeHolcim says the acquisition of Firestone Building Products will help it become a global leader in innovative and sustainable building solutions.
