The National Roofing Contractors Association is organizing its third Roofing Day trip to Washington D.C., which will also include a forum about increasing diversity in the industry.
Known as Roofing Day, hundreds of roofing contractors and other industry stakeholders meet on Capitol Hill to discuss legislation and other issues with congress and their staffs.
"We just don't push working with your hands anymore. We've been pushing kids toward four-year degrees and that’s really hurt our industry," explained the founder of ROOF Management.
More than 400 roofing contractors and industry stakeholders from across the United States met with members of congress and legislative staff last week to relay their concerns as part of the first-ever Roofing Day.
