Firestone Building Products Company donated
$5,000 to the Midwest Roofing Contractors Association (MRCA) Foundation during
the MRCA National Convention in Grapevine, Texas. Firestone has now donated
more than $70,000 to MRCA Foundation scholarships since 1995.
The Midwest Roofing Contractors Association (MRCA) announced that Robert
Swanda Jr. of Independent Roofing Co., Omaha,
Neb., is the recipient of the
association’s highest award.
D.C. Taylor Co., a nationwide
commercial and industrial roofing contractor headquartered in Cedar Rapids,
Iowa, announced a business expansion with the addition of two service
locations, one in Dallas and the other in Rogers, Ark.
John Makar, Area Vice President,
Steep Slope Southeast, for GAF Materials Corporation, died Dec. 13, 2008. He was
59.
Mr. Makar joined GAF in 1998 as Field Sales Manager for the
Florida District.
