A roofing crew accidentally ignited a fire at a Milford, Mass., home on Monday. The fire caused extensive damage to the roof; the homeowner's son was taken to the hospital as a precaution but was expected to be released soon. 

The Chartered Institute of Building and the Institute of Roofing, two United Kingdom-based trade groups, are in talks to integrate; the CIOB is a large construction organization with a broad membership base, while the Institute of Roofing is a more specialized trade group.
