Corning has launched a full set of business solutions to help its
building materials customers easily, efficiently and profitably enter an
emerging and growing market category - re-insulation.
Drexel Metals Corporation of Ivyland, Pa.,
and New Tech Machinery of Denver have joined forces.
Drexel Metals, a
metal roof systems supplier, and New Tech Machinery, a manufacturer of portable
roll forming equipment, will now offer the most complete cost effective
engineered metal roofing package available, according to Drexel Metals
president Brian Partyka.

hosted an open house Aug. 21-23 at its Peachtree, Ga., location with the RAS
product line on display. RAS Systems is the American partner of Reinhardt

Polyglass USA Inc. announced that its acquisition by
MAPEI SpA Italy
has been finalized. The sale was concluded on Sept. 30, 2008. Headquartered in Milan, Italy,
MAPEI is a privately held international organization composed of over 6,000
employees and annual sales approaching $2.5 billion.
DECRA Roofing Systems
Inc. is a participant in the first international sustainable energy
demonstration community in Beijing, China. The Future House community
consists of 10 homes, sponsored by countries from around the world, each
designed and built with the common goal of bringing together the best building
practices and materials demonstrating environmental responsibility.
Englert Inc.
has unveiled a new machine service program supported by a fleet of trucks that
will visit customers to help with the installation of new equipment as well as
service machines already in the field.
Kee Safety, Inc. was named to Inc. Magazine's
Top 5,000 list for the second straight year. Reporting revenue growth of 61.7
percent from 2004 to 2007, Buffalo, N.Y.-based Kee Safety earned a ranking of
No. 4,336 on the Inc. Magazine Top 5,000 list released Aug. 20, 2008.

Manufacturers Association (ARMA) met in Washington,
D.C., to update the organization’s 5-year
strategic plan, which was scheduled to be approved and launched at the next
Board Meeting on Nov. 5-6, 2008, in Atlanta.
University of Oregon students, come on down. You’re
the next contestants on the Eco-Roof Game. Under a teaching project funded
through a grant from ASHRAE, students at the University of Oregon
will be challenged to develop, construct and determine the R-value of a green
roof through a hands-on experience, known as the Eco-Roof Game.
SRS Acquisition Corporation announced that it has completed the acquisition
of Rowe Supply Inc., a leading independent distributor of residential and commercial
roofing in the Savannah, Ga., and Hilton Head, S.C., markets.
