In 2012, OSHA enacted a number of significant changes to its Hazard Communication Standard. One of these changes requires employers using hazardous chemicals to train their employees on new Safety Data Sheets by December 1st of this year.
To help contractors meet their obligations under the standard, Ed Foulke of Fisher & Phillips will present a webinar titled, “What You Need to Know About OSHA’s New Global Harmonization and Hazard Communication Standard.” I had the pleasure of watching Ed speak at this year’s Best of Success conference on the topic of near misses on the jobsite, and I think you’ll find him a dynamic speaker who gets right to the heart of the matter and explains it clearly. I’m looking forward to this event, and if you use any types of hazardous chemicals on the jobsite, I hope you can join us. You’ll be able to submit your questions for a live Q&A after the presentation.
The live event will be held Nov. 14 at 2 p.m. Eastern. For more information or to register, just visit webinars.roofingcontractor.com. Register now to make sure you have the information you need to meet the new OSHA requirements by Dec. 1, and remember, if you can’t make it for the live event, you can always view the webinar on demand after Nov. 14.
