Tesla Solar Roof fanboy Marques Brownlee, a tech YouTuber, shared his experience of owning a solar roofing system with Powerwall for one year. The result was a luxurious monthly energy bill of $0; his YouTube review has received over 4 million views since July 31, 2023.

Tesla has agreed to pay around $6 million to settle a Solar Roof class-action lawsuit brought by customers who signed contracts to install its Solar Roof system at their homes and then told the cost would be substantially more than originally quoted.
