The MRCA introduced the Naphis Mitchell-Reyes Safety Professional Award, which will recognize roofing safety professionals who exemplify the values that the award’s namesake respected.

The roofing industry is saddened by the loss of Naphis Mitchell-Reyes, Sr., who passed away on Oct. 16, 2021 in Dallas. He was 56 years old.

Empire employs over 700 roofing and office professionals in the industry, and will operate going forward as Empire Roofing, a Tecta America Company.

Taking cues from successful brands like Maytag and UPS, Empire Roofing grew from humble beginnings to establishing international offices.
