The Chartered Institute of Building and the Institute of Roofing, two United Kingdom-based trade groups, are in talks to integrate; the CIOB is a large construction organization with a broad membership base, while the Institute of Roofing is a more specialized trade group. 

NRCA CEO Reid Ribble is among the four roofing professionals who were named an honorary fellow by the U.K.-based Institute of Roofing.
