Northstar Clean Technologies received a Canadian patent for its asphalt shingle reprocessing technology, effective until 2042, and has a pending Patent Cooperation Treaty application for global patent rights.

Northstar's Bitumen Extraction and Separation Technology uses a proprietary process to separate the liquid asphalt, fiber and aggregate sands from discarded or defective asphalt roofing shingles destined for landfill.
