To jump-start the 2017 International Roofing Expo (IRE), the National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA) hosted two separate tournaments Tuesday morning.

Dozens of foursomes teed off at the NRCA/ROOFPAC Golf Tournament at the Bali High Golf Club in Las Vegas. The event began promptly with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. and followed a standard scramble format. The event was sponsored by Johns Manville.

The NRCA also hosted the ROOFPAC Sport Shooting Tournament at the Pro Gun Club of Las Vegas. Nearly 50 roofing professionals gathered to showcase their shooting capabilities at this unique tournament that featured a spectacular view of the surrounding mountains and canyons. The event was sponsored by Polyglass. 

Roofing contractors and industry professionals again helped some well-deserving Las Vegas-area residents with much-needed repairs and safety improvements to their homes as part of the 8th Annual Community Service Day at IRE 2017 Tuesday.

Roughly three dozen volunteers from across the country put their building skills to the test, completing a wide range of projects for local seniors referred by Rebuilding Together of Southern Nevada. The event was sponsored by Sika Sarnafil.

Roofing professionals from across the globe gathered in the ‘happiest city on earth’ for the 2016 International Roofing Expo(IRE) from Feb. 17-19. Show organizers said more than 9,500 people and 460 companies visited the IRE show floor, which covered 120,600 square feet of display space at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla.

The overall attendance and number of exhibit booths (1,206) increased slightly from last year’s show in New Orleans, but were substantially higher than the last time Orlando hosted the IRE in 2012, officials said.
