With a heavy heart, we share the passing of our friend and colleague, Ronald “Ron” Vollmer.
Vollmer most recently served as H.B. Fuller's vice president of Global Commercial Roofing and was a well-known and highly respected roofing industry expert with a notable career spanning over 30 years in industrial chemicals, 19 of which focused on commercial roofing.
Beyond his professional contributions, Ron was a devoted family man and a great friend to many. Ron is survived by his wife, Marie; four daughters: Wilhelmina (William) Fry of Spring Lake, Lilian Francisco of Grand Haven, and twin daughters Delanie and Els Vollmer of Chelsea, Michigan. In 2024, Vollmer was blessed with a granddaughter, Astrid Fry.
He was a kind-hearted person who truly wanted the best for everyone around him and was always willing to share his time and knowledge to help others. His energy, drive, and determination were an inspiration to us all.
Our thoughts and sincere condolences are with Ron’s family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time.
