Floor & Décor, a leading retailer of hard surface flooring, is transforming a former RV dealer and Walmart into its latest store in Gilroy, California. To support this effort, AAA Roofing, a renowned commercial roofing contractors, replaced the 112,000-square-foot roof using Carlisle SynTec Systems’ advanced solutions.

The existing roof, a two-ply built-up system with significant moisture damage, required extensive repairs, including the replacement of 2,500 square feet of plywood decking. The project benefited from the building’s open design, which minimized obstructions and expedited installation.

Carlisle’s 16' Sure-Weld TPO membrane, installed using RhinoBond Induction Welding technology, was specified by Building Enclosure Solutions (BES). This combination reduced seaming by 33%, significantly boosting efficiency. The membrane’s wide format and induction technology minimized material handling and improved wind resistance by evenly distributing loads across the roof.

AAA Roofing’s eight-person crew worked efficiently, completing the project in just eight weeks. The roof assembly included Carlisle SecurShield Polyiso insulation, fastened to meet California’s R-10 energy code requirements. Custom detailing, such as terminations at air handling curbs and parapet walls, ensured a durable and watertight finish.
