MonierLifetile, Irvine, Calif., announced the acquisition of a Vostile plant in Kansas City, Mo.; the construction of a plant in Guadalajara, Mexico; and the signature on a land purchase in the state of Colorado, a future manufacturing site.

Vostile, a Kansas City, Mo.-based manufacturer of concrete tile has been in operation since 1990. MonierLifetile’s acquisition includes the manufacturing facility on two acres of land in addition to a showroom located 30 minutes from the operation site.

The plant nearing completion in Mexico will be a MonierLifetile named facility. The 50 percent joint venture between Boral and Lafarge is the first undertaking into Mexico with concrete roof tile.

The land deal in Colorado will be the site of a state-of-the-art, fully automated facility that will produce flat and villa tile to meet the demands of the local market.
