Continuous Cleat Coping
Petersen Aluminum, Elk Grove Village, Ill., offers PAC-Continuous cleat coping for use on industrial buildings, schools, hospitals and other commercial construction. The copings are designed to seal the parapet and eliminate all exposed fasteners while reducing installation costs. The design of the continuous cleat permits the installation of a sloped coping cap over extra wide walls. The support of the cleat eliminates sagging, which can induce ponding and the possibility of leaks. For further weathertightness, neoprene strips are factory-applied to each hold down cleat. Factory-supplied fasteners accompany each coping order for the attachment of the cleats to the wood nailer. Field-crimping on the inside leg of the coping to the inside hold-down cleat completes the installation.
