IONE, Calif. - U.S. Tile Company, the nation's largest producer of authentic clay roofing tile, announced it will invest $27.5 million to build a new clay tile plant in Ione, Calif. The new plant, which will be located 46 miles southeast of Sacramento, is expected to result in a 50 percent increase in clay roof tile manufacturing capacity in Western U.S. markets. The plant is expected to be fully operational by December 2007.
