WOODBURY, Minn. — The NEMEON Board of Directors has named Dave O’Donnell to serve as the cooperative’s president and CEO effective Dec. 1, 2013.
O’Donnell has held the position of vice president at NEMEON since February 2010, where he was responsible for enhancing the value of the co-op through educational programs, member engagement, vendor relations and developing regional initiatives.
O’Donnell has more than 27 years of experience with a background in sales management for GAF Materials and as general manager of ABCO Wholesale Distributors in the Detroit area. He was also the executive director of another cooperative in the industry for seven years before joining the NEMEON team.
The company released the following statement: “The NEMEON Board of Directors, having worked with O’Donnell for the past four years, strongly believes that he is the best candidate to step into the role as president and CEO. We are confident that his extensive background in manufacturing, distribution and cooperatives will enable him to assume the responsibilities of this position. He is a can-do person who is fully and firmly committed to the continuing success of NEMEON.”
An immediate search for a vice presdiential replacement is in the works.
