EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Allied Building Products Corp., a leading national distributor of building products and division of Oldcastle, Inc., the North American holding company for CRH plc, launched its Latino Facebook page.
In January 2016, the United States Department of Labor reported that Hispanics/Latinos made up 28.5 percent of employment in the construction industry. Falling right in line with the national average, Allied Building Products boasts a Hispanics/Latinos population of nearly 30 percent.
Recognizing the need to create better communication and engagement with its Hispanic/Latino customers, colleagues and friends, Allied launched its Latino Facebook in March 2016. Through the participation and contributions of employees, the intention of the page is to provide up to date news, event announcements, information about trainings and career opportunities to its Spanish speaking community.
