MCKINNEY, Texas – SRS Distribution Inc. announced it has acquired the Texas-based Travis Roofing Supply. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Travis Roofing Supply was founded in 2015 in Austin, Texas, and grew to operate a network of 21 branches across the United States. The company serves professional contractors, local homebuilders, home improvement contractors and remodelers.

SRS Distribution is one of the largest and fastest-growing building products distributors in the country. SRS President and CEO Dan Tinker said SRS is pleased to welcome the Travis team into its family of companies. He said the acquisition represents the largest number of locations acquired in a single transaction for SRS.

“This acquisition further solidifies our strengths and broadens our capabilities in key markets,” Tinker said. “Travis has expanded at a tremendous pace over the past few years and shares the same passion for customers and employees that we do.”

Dale Lowe, chairman of Travis, shared similar sentiments, saying he couldn’t imagine a better outcome for the Travis team than to partner with SRS.

"The timing was right for us to align with SRS and leverage the extensive resources they bring to the table,” Lowe said. “Together the companies will support an enduring commitment to their customers and supplier partners, while continuing to empower the hard-working employees that make it all possible."

SRS Distribution, founded in 2008, operates under a family of 32 local brands encompassing more than 300 locations across 44 states. Earlier this year, SRS Distribution opened four new locations in Florida and announced plans to build a four-story, 100,000-square-foot corporate office in McKinney, Texas.
