HERNDON, Va. — Beacon Building Products announced the 10 finalists for its second annual Beacon of Hope contest, a nationwide contest awarding deserving veteran homeowners with new roofs. The public can vote for the deserving veterans now through Nov. 2 by visiting the Beacon of Hope website.
Beacon is partnering with veteran-friendly roofing companies to deliver and install all necessary roof repairs/replacement for three veteran homes. Seven runners-up will also receive $2,500 to help complete necessary repairs.
“We received dozens of submissions, showing just how much support our veterans need and deserve,” said Jamie Samide, Beacon’s vice president of marketing. “Too many of our veterans are facing PTSD, financial hardship and other health-related issues, all while working hard to provide a basic necessity for their families: a safe place to live. Beacon of Hope was created as part of Beacon’s giving back to its communities and we hope employees, customers, and communities to come together to help us in our efforts to provide our vets with a ‘Beacon of Hope’.”
