ADDISON, Texas — Siplast announced that Kirk Goodrum has been appointed vice president, general manager. Reporting to John Altmeyer, executive chairman, GAF Commercial Roofing, Goodrum will continue to lead innovation while driving strategic growth and expansion for Siplast.

Goodrum joined Siplast in 1999 as a staff scientist and is currently the head of research and development and product management. In his 23 years with the company, Goodrum has been a driving force behind Siplast’s research and development efforts helping introduce new products, making substantial improvements to existing products, and adding to the number of patents Siplast holds.

In addition to his responsibilities at Siplast, Goodrum has held a number of industry committee chair roles, including serving as technical chair for the Single Ply Roofing Industry (SPRI) association and has sat on the board of directors and as a technical affairs committee chair for the Asphalt Roofing Manufacturers Association (ARMA). He has authored and co-authored several technical papers published in industry trade journals and holds a degree in Physics with a minor in Mathematics from Henderson State University.
