HERNDON, Va. — Beacon Building Products announced the finalists of its annual North American Female Roofing Professional of the Year contest. The program shines a spotlight on inspiring women in the roofing industry.
Beacon encourages the public to vote for these influential women now through June 6 by visiting the Female Roofing Professional of the Year contest website. The winner will receive $10,000 and the four runners up will receive $1,000 each.
“Gender inclusivity is critically important to the success of any industry, and we’re honored to promote the women leading the way in the roofing sector,” said Jamie Samide, vice president of marketing at Beacon. “With almost 700 submissions from women across the U.S. and Canada, identifying the top five finalists was no easy feat. We encourage the public to show their support by voting for one of the finalists to be named the Female Roofing Professional of the Year."
Kicking off the contest on International Women’s Day, March 8, Beacon solicited nominations until April 11. The submissions have been narrowed down to the following five finalists:
- Letitia Hanke – ARS Roofing and Gutters Santa Rosa, Calif.
- Michelle Mulder – Nailed It Roofing North Bay, Ontario, Canada
- Anna Arakelyan – United Roofing and Contractors Myrtle Beach, S.C.
- Christina Rodriguez – G Storm Solutions Houston, Texas
- Robin Wright – V&R Roofing Tacoma, Wash.
