Beacon Building Products will once again show its gratitude to those who serve our country by donating roofs to deserving veterans in its annual Beacon of Hope contest.

Beacon and local roofing contractors will provide nine grand prize winners with installation of all exterior roof repairs/replacement necessary to ensure their homes are safe and dry. The contest is open to all military veterans who are residing in the U.S. or Canada and received honorable or general discharges. The contest is also open to veteran organizations.

From now until Oct. 7, members of the public can nominate themselves, a veteran or a veteran organization by visiting the Beacon of Hope website and submitting a photo of the veteran, three photos of the home and a brief summary of why the veteran or organization deserves a new roof.

"Everyone deserves a safe home secured by a reliable roof, especially the men and women who have given so much to our country," says Julian Francis, CEO of Beacon Building Products. "The Beacon of Hope contest supports veterans with new roofs and uplifted spirits. It is our privilege to give back to the veterans and their families who live in our communities."

From Oct. 10-21, a committee of judges will evaluate the nominations and select 20 finalists. The nine grand prize winners will be announced on Veterans Day, Nov. 11.
