ROSCOE, Ill. — Martin Exteriors announced that Jade Mercado has been appointed as director of operations, effective Sept. 29, 2022.

Mercado started working in the roofing industry in 2012 as a receptionist. Within a couple of years, she was promoted to bookkeeper. Mercado continued to gain skills and experience while learning to manage the administrative office.

"Jade is a huge piece of the puzzle to take Martin Exteriors to the next level," said Justin Martin, president of Martin Exteriors. "Her knowledge and skills will help us continue to exceed our goals year after year. We are very happy to have her as part of the team!”

From 2017 to 2022, she worked for a newly-established roofing company as an office manager. She found it rewarding to put all of the knowledge gained during the previous five years to use by building the administrative side of that company from the ground up.

"My brother, Justin, who is also the president of Martin Exteriors, has always been my role model. I look forward to working with him and learning from him professionally. I will continue to use the knowledge, skills, and abilities I’ve gained over the past decade in my day-to-day responsibilities. My goal is to implement systems and processes that help Martin Exteriors run at its full potential."
