Could sectoral bargaining be the way of the future in construction? It could become that way at some point, says RC Legal Insights expert Trent Cotney of Adams and Reese.
Cotney explains what sectoral bargaining is and what it could mean for the roofing industry if it is eventually adopted. He also discusses why many construction companies are switching to flex PTO instead of a set amount of vacation days.
“I think our use of paid time off, the way we currently understand it, is over,” Cotney said.
Cotney says that having flex PTO is a benefit for companies to attract employees, and predicts that flex PTO will soon be a more common vacation policy than traditional PTO.
