Honest Abe Roofing Remembers Abraham Lincoln Impersonator Michael Krebs

Honest Abe Roofing is paying tribute to Michael Krebs, a renowned Abraham Lincoln impersonator who brought the company’s namesake to life in its marketing.
Krebs passed away Jan. 29 at the age of 66. According to abrahamlincolnperformance.com, Krebs has portrayed the 16th president throughout the United States since 1994. Among his numerous live appearances, he also portrayed Lincoln in a one-act play titled “A Walk to Respect” and guest starred on the NBC show “Timeless” in an episode about Lincoln’s assassination.
Krebs worked with Honest Abe Roofing for 10 years, appearing in videos, ads and more. In a Facebook post, the company said he was known for the accuracy of his portrayal of Lincoln, including his tone of his voice and the way he carried himself.
“Michael Krebs brought a realness to the character of Abraham Lincoln; he was able to find humor in the stories and facts of the 16th President's life,” the company said. “We are all blessed to have had the time we did with Michael and will miss him dearly.”
The company included a tribute video, featuring clips from his numerous commercials as well as employees sharing fond memories of their interactions with him. In the video, Kevin Newton, CEO of Honest Abe Roofing, said he knew of no one else who embodied Lincoln better and spoke of Kreb’s kindness.
“He was always kind to everybody, he always had a word of wisdom, always uplifting in difficult times,” he said.
