In an unexpected twist, Tecta America, the nation’s largest commercial roofing contractor, may be up for sale after a story broke that its private equity owners are “considering strategic options.” The company’s potential valuation could be as high as $4 billion. 

Tecta America, the largest U.S. commercial roofing firm, acquired Sterling Commercial Roofing, which operates in northern Illinois, eastern Iowa, and southern Wisconsin; Sterling's president and team will remain in place.
