IRE 2025

Roofing celebrates Latino roofing professionals during the industry's biggest event
With 30% of the roofing industry made up of Latino and Hispanic workers, it's no surprise that these contractors showed up en masse to the 2025 International Roofing Expo.
The roofing industry continues to support the community, recognizing the positive impact that it has made for decades. Roofing manufacturers and distributors alike are catering to Spanish-speaking contractors, offering training, translated materials and resources for them to succeed.
This year's IRE is no exception. IRE implemented several initiatives at the show to reach the Spanish-speaking community in recognition of the diverse roofing workforce. Select conference sessions were offered primarily in Spanish in addition to leveraging artificial intelligence with Wordly, delivering a live translation of the sessions in English. SRS Distribution, at its booth #6063 and SRS Para Latinos booth #6077, offered business and sales training in both English and Spanish.
Groups like Latinos En Roofing were represented during the expo, and all around the show floor, Latino contractors, sales reps and others were among those scoping out the latest products and services. It should come as no surprise — according to Census Bureau statistics, between 2007 and 2022, Latino-owned businesses (with employees) increased by 57%, while White-owned businesses (with employees) grew by 5%.
RC is proud to support the Latino community with its Techos y Más eNewsletter, which is entirely in Spanish, and celebrates Latino roofing professionals with this special photo gallery.
