VIDEO: Roofing Day 2025 Preview
Roofing industry stakeholders head back to Capitol Hill at a time of rapid change.
The eighth annual Roofing Day — where stakeholders from across the industry come together to relay concerns to members of Congress with one voice — is fast approaching on April 8-9 in Washington, D.C. The fly-in event to the nation’s capital is the roofing industry’s single-largest advocacy initiative with members of the U.S. Congress, and continues to grow in importance each time, said McKay Daniels, CEO of the National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA).

Roofing Day: Attend and Advocate
Hundreds of roofing contractors and other industry professionals from around the country will once again fly-in to Washington, D.C. for the eighth annual Roofing Day April 8-9. Organized by the National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA), the event is designed to give members of Congress and their staffs information and direct feedback on the decisions being made on Capitol Hill.
“It’s one day a year that the entire industry comes to Washington together to speak with one voice,” Daniels said in this brief videochat with RC. “If we’re not going to tell our story and make our case, who will?”
A former congressional staffer for years, Daniels said it’s important for legislators on Capitol Hill and their key office personnel to hear from contractors directly about the impact of their decisions.
Immigration and border security, regulation and other workforce initiatives will be among the agenda items when members of each state’s roofing delegation meet with elected officials from their respective states.
